I finally finished all the charms for my pocket prayer pouches. I'm new to working with wire, but I thought everything turned out great.
For this one I just practiced wrapping the wire in a spiral.
This is the heart I made. I like it a lot.
Here I tried to make a moon shape. The top I tied together with some twine, instead of real thin wire.
Here I just recycled some beads from a broken bracelet I had.
I have some small spools. I just wrapped it with an old map and strung some fabric thru it.
I used strips of old book pages to make this charm. I rolled it up on a toothpick and added about 3 layers of UTEE to seal it.
Here I just took a picture of all of them.
I also wanted to add a bible verse to each pouch. I've seen a tutorial this morning from Lilian Guerrero on how to make a faux gelli plate. That was right up my alley. So I gave it a try. It worked great.
Here are some I made with the faux gelli plate.
I totally like these mini rolodex cards because when I pulled them of the "plate" part of their paper stuck to it. But it gives it such an awesome look.
I will definitely make more prints. Thank you for the inspiration Lilian. Renate
