I was looking for a box tutorial, when I came across the oven cupcake boxes. I thought that was a cute idea and wanted to make one myself. But I couldn't find a good tutorial on any of them. Then I found "scapbookingstation" on You Tube. The Lady there made a 4 x 4 Easter box. And that was perfect. She has great instructions on how to make the box. The only change I made, is to leave the 2 side flaps on the top to close it.
Most of the tutorials I saw, made the oven door the closure panel. Well by "accident", mine ended up on top, which turned out to be pretty good.
I used vellum under my "heating elements".
I added some old book pages to my project.
I used salty ocean, vintage photo and peeled paint for my background, and then stamped over it in green with my script stamp.
It took me quite some time to make it... but well worth it.
