My Advent Arrangement for 2018.

My brother Mike cut the wood pieces and screwed them together and added a wood board on the bottom. Then I got to decorate it.

We found pine cones that already had white tips on them. He also had some tree bark I laid around the left edge.

My Mom gave me some ribbon and I just made a bow and laid it in front of the arrangement.
For the "snow", I just used gel medium, white acrylic paint and glitter and spread it over the front.

This is how it looks on my table.

I hope everyone has a great Sunday.

Perpetual Calendar.

I found a tutorial at: Candace's Canvases. I made the base but didn't like it. So I just left it off.

I also had issues with the cubes. I found a tutorial at: Pootles Papercraft for a 2 1/2 in cube, which was much easier for me to do.

I printed my month out and just cut around it and used some ink on the edges.

It seemed to be "loose" on the sides, so I just added eyelets and some string to pull it a bit together.

That was fun to make. Maybe I'll add a base later on.

Stack the Pages Album with Junk Journal Insert.

Welcome to my new blog. I just thought it was time for a change. In the future I hope to also make some You Tube videos and tutorials.
Here is another stack the pages album. These are fun to make. On the cover I have an altered paper clip and a pocket behind it. I Mod Podged the back of the fabric and let it try, then I glued it to the cover. This way the glue doesn't come thru.

This is a pocket with an envelope inside it.

Then you fold that page out to reveal a seed envelope on the right and a woven pocket on the left.

Next you have a vellum pocket on the left and a tug spot on the right.

Here another tug spot.

Here I sewed a pocket on an index card and glued it down.

This is the junk journal part.

A double flap envelope.

A tag on top of a tug spot.

A side pocket.

More tug spots and another altered paper clip.

On the right you fold out this page.

Then you get this. Then you fold down the right side.

Then you get this. And then you fold out the right side again.

And you get this. The left side I left plain, for pictures.

Then I made another pocket to look like weathered wood with a net I made.

On the last page I made a mixed media card. Under it is a bigger envelope.

I would love to make a video, so I don't have to take so many pictures. I didn't take out all the tags and envelopes that are in the pockets and tug spots, otherwise there be even more pictures.
