Another Different Pocket.

I just stamped and stenciled with white ink all over my black cardstock.

Then I cut apart the front of the pocket and added a strip of my blue paper I painted. I then sewed tracing paper over it to hold everything in place.

This is the back.

I just made a tag and used up some of my scraps. I just sewed a tracing paper pocket on it. I got the idea from Gayle Agostinelli.

These are my inserts.

I just tied a #13 charm I had to the fabric.

These are fun to make. They will make a nice addition to my journal.

A Different Kind of Pocket.

Over at Paperpilea, she has a tutorial on how to wrap a booklet. I thought, why not make a pocket like that. This is what I came up with. The top part is tracing paper. I sewed the tracing paper to the base to keep it from warping.

I just stamped on the upper part of the tracing paper. I wanted to let my design underneath, to show through.

I made a tag for it, and used a puzzle piece as my hole strengthener.

This is the back of the pocket.

It turned out pretty good. Just a little different kind of pocket.

Envelope Booklet.

I got the idea from Patricia Viramontes, except I only used one envelope and one coin envelope in the back. This is the front of my envelope. I made mine with the EPB, then covered it in old book pages.

I cut my envelope tabs down a bit on the sides, so when you insert ephemera it's a bit easier.
On the right I just added a pocket with an acetate window.

Without the envelope insert.

This is a little envelope I made while back. It has a small tag, that fits in the shaker pocket, to keep the envelope flap closed.

When you fold it open again, you have another pocket in the center.

The inserts for the middle pocket.

Here I just made a faux filmstrip pocket. Underneath I used tracing paper folded in half, to keep the "goodies" inside. I also sewed around it, since it's easier then using glue on it.

Inserts for this pocket.

This is the back. Here I used a coin envelope, covered it, and cut the one side open. The 2 tags are holding it shut.

I made a file folder card as an insert.

This was a fun project. Thank you for the inspiration.

Kite Card / Journal Card.

Birgit at StempelBunt has a great tutorial on how to make these kite cards. I used paper scraps for the background.

I decided to add some sewing to it too.

For the inside, I added my coffee dyed paper and stamped on one side of it.

Here's a view from the back. I'm using this one for a greeting card. But I will make another one to use as a journal card for my journal. Thanks for the inspiration.

Flap Pockets.

Eva at Bohamian Crafting used envelopes to make these. Since I didn't have that size envelopes, I just made me a template, and made these flap pockets. The bigger ones are 2 pieces, and the smaller one is made with one piece of cardstock.

The flap I attached to the back of the base.

For this one I used acetate for the window. The side flaps are 3/4 in. wide.

I also sewed around the whole piece.

These are not hard to make, and you can make them pretty much any size you want.

I choose tracing paper for this window.

For this one I used one piece of cardstock. The side flaps are only 1/2 in. wide.

I didn't want a window in this one.
