Pocket Prayer Quilts.

I got the tutorial from Shabby Fabrics.

I made these for my daughters. I don't have any crosses. so I used this charm for my daughter who likes to travel.

I typed up a bible verse and added some coffee dyed papers.

This is the back.

I added a seashell charm to this one, since my other daughter likes the beach. I also added the same bible verse.

And she also got some coffee dyed papers.

This is the back view.

I will definitely make a few more of these to give away.                                                                             Renate

Two Vintage Suitcases.

You can find the tutorial at: Kristianne's Crafty Adventures. These are not to hard to make.

I used cardstock that I covered with old dictionary pages for the handles.

For the straps and buckles I made some faux leather. For the buckles I used part of a paperclip die I        have.

The rest I covered with vintage paper.

For this one I used some leftover blue jeans fabric I had, to make the handle.

I also added an inside fabric pocket to this one.

These are fun to make. I hope you will give it a try.                                                                                    Renate

Mini Car where you can add money to the Suitcase for a gift.

This was quite a challenge. I found just a couple of tutorials for making this car. It was all in cm. So it took me a bit to change it into inches. The suitcase is my design.

For the bumper I used part of an old stamp I have. This is the town I grew up in.

I used silver cardstock for the "rims".

This is the other part of the stamp. It's the road name I used to live at. For the lights I used one layer of  UTEE.

I designed the suitcase to fit in my seat.

It's not hard to put together, once you get the hang of it. It's a cute idea to give money as a gift instead of an envelope or card.                                                                                                                                  Renate
