Mini Birthday Storage Caddy.

At Mixed up Craft, they made a bottle carrier, which was a great tutorial. I just took that idea and made it smaller. Mine is 63/4 tall x 3 high x 31/2 wide. I needed something for a birthday gift and that was the perfect size.

I added a puzzle piece and a shell charm on this side.

On the corners I added 1 x 3 pieces for strength.

Here are some more pics from the overall view.

For the straw handle I took off the first layer of paper and replaced it with some tissue paper to match my theme.

Here you can see the "goodies" inside.

Here is an altered slide I made from scratch. I inserted an old German stamp.

I just made a folder to hold journal cards or notes. I had a newspaper from the 50's, that I copied and used as my paper and some stamping.

On the left I already added a journal card.

Here I just stacked 3 envelopes I made with inserts.

This is an altered envelope that I also made from scratch.

This charm has several layers. I got the idea from a piece of jewelry I've seen on Pnterest.

I used blue cardstock paper and used picked raspberry distress ink for the blotches. Then stamped all over it. And I sewed a little pocket in the front.

A little shaker pocket with stamped vellum in the background.

And one more shaker pocket.

I just recycled part of a bread bag to make a little goodie bag.

This is another little folder where I added sewing on the outside.

I also added some journal cards to it.
I hope you got some inspiration from this project.

Dress Form Journal Tag.

They are both the same tag, just different lighting. Gi Kerr on You Tube had a tutorial on these tags. I just tore some fabric and glued it on.These are quite easy to make. You still have room in the back to journal on.

Altered Envelopes and Receipts.

I love making these altered envelopes. I make mine from scratch, since I don't have envelopes like this. This way I can sew a pocket in the front before I glue them together.

For this pocket I used part of a plastic bag that sheets come in.

I try to play with different closures.

Here I added the pocket in the back.

These are my altered receipts. I just make copies of them and then decorate them. Another way to have journal cards.

My husband and kids are into the Walking Dead. I'm not a big fan of the show... but to each his own... haha. So my daughter had to tell me that one is an arrow and one is a paintbrush on the receipt. This one was a bit more challenging, trying to find a small paintbrush. This was the smallest one we could find. I thought it turned out pretty good.

This was the first altered receipt I made. Just a plain one. These make great journal cards.
